Cybersecurity Engineer
Responsibilities:
Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organization’s data, systems, and networks.
Troubleshooting security and network problems.
Responding to all system and/or network security breaches.
Ensuring that the organization’s data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls.
Participating in the change management process.
Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities.
Daily administrative tasks, reporting, and communication with the relevant departments in the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH,eCIR) is a plus.
Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
Experience with security assessment tools and techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
